Apartment el refugio - 2025

Interior design | Bespoke furniture design | Styling of furniture, lighting and accessories

Apartment El Refugio is a study in restraint and memory. This apartment located on the eastern hills of Bogotá was designed not to announce itself, but to reveal itself gradually as if it had always been there.

The project is rooted in the idea that warmth is not decorative, it is physical. Wood, stone, and natural materials that invite touch coexist with directed light and layers of antique and contemporary pieces, creating an interior that feels less designed than inhabited. Furniture recovered, reupholstered, and curated over time tells a story that belongs equally to the space and to those who live in it.

The role of design here is that of a filter: ordering, composing, and giving meaning. The result is a home that feels like it has taken shape over decades of quiet, unhurried living, even though it is entirely new.
