When we were engaged to design apartments 104 and 301 at Casa Pedregal, it was very exciting as it isn’t very common to be called to lead a project within another. The clients wanted the apartments to be used primarily for short-term rentals so functionality, durability and keeping a low budget were their main needs.

With limited square footage, both apartments were carefully conceived taking advantage of every square inch. We wanted guests to feel as if they were vacationing in a beautiful boutique hotel in the city of Cartagena by keeping in mind the warm, contemporary aesthetic of Casa Pedregal.

The warm and modest environment is full of subtle details to be discovered as the space is inhabited. In order
to provide guests with an authentic Colombian living experience, nearly every piece used in these apartments were produced by local artisans, designers and artists.
