The MC apartment is the project of a young businessman and toy collector and his wife, who rented an apartment in their hometown of Barranquilla to raise their newborn baby. After living for many years in the city of Bogotá, they wanted to completely change the type of decoration they had. The brief for the project was very simple: a fresh apartment with character, and that feels very refined without losing the fun, unexpected and even irreverent essence that characterizes them.

Our clients have hectic work lives and frequent trips. For this reason, we designed a space that would provide a sense of serenity where upon entering, they could disconnect and rest. Being a space where no major architectural interventions could be made, we worked on a curation of furniture, accessories and pieces of art that would seamlessly complement those they already owned. There was a predilection for organic, warm and light textures and tones, with comfortable furniture but with a very contemporary aesthetic. Our clients' unique pieces of furniture, art and sculptural toys add some jolts of color to the mix, creating a beautiful original and very personal space.
