Apartamento 58 is a residential project located in the city of Barranquilla, Colombia. It is the story of a young family looking to have a place to call home when they were in their hometown. The concept of the proposal stems from the unique tastes of each of the members of this family nucleus, in order to create emotional links between the spaces and each of its inhabitants. Each family member had a contribution to the project, and among the issues in common was the need for a large, sophisticated, clean and contemporary space, with a warmth representative of the Colombian Caribbean coast.

In the development of the interior design proposal we take advantage of the architectural features of the apartment. In particular, the proposal responds to open social spaces, high ceilings and certain materials typical of the region, such as Crema Marfil marble.

On the other hand, we intervened the carpentry and made a selection of furniture and decorative complementary elements. For the dining area, which is the meeting space, we designed a personalized dining table in stone and details in solid bronze, contrasting with wooden chairs that generate greater warmth.

The use of textiles such as linens, handmade knotted rugs, touches of wood and color, provide the space with the Caribbean sophistication desired by the owners, without losing their identity. On the other hand, in the social bathroom they sought to subtly break the cleanliness of the rest of the spaces, so we added dramatic textures in the hanging paper and in the stone of the sink. In this way, the bathroom feels like an extension of the general conceptual proposal of the apartment, but playing with another perceptual language.
